To me, the use of the metal structure not only ensures protection to the entire mattress but also extends the life with ease. The Victorian style is worth mentioning. The presence of the headboard and the footboard helps in skidding or wobbling of the mattress. It, thus, ensures the prolonged lifespan of the bed.ConstructionI believe Construction plays a vital role in the entire unit. This frame is made of solid metal construction which is sturdy and prevents weakness at any point. Added to that are the slats placed at equal distances that further increase the sturdiness of the metal frame. The slats also offer protection to the bed. Based on the manufacturer’s description the structure is capable of holding a maximum weight of 400lbs which is pretty good.AssemblyAll I had to do was just follow the instruction manual. The company delivers the entire product in a single box. The box consists of the parts, tools, and screws. Although there is also a manual that helps one to assemble the pieces, it took me almost 2.5 hours to finish the Installation. The mattress will sit comfortably in the frame without wobbling. Really good price at $125 with prime 2 day ship. A lot of pieces to put together but keep in mind a whole queen canopy bed comes shipped in one box delivered to your door so it has to be broken down to as small as possible. Once put together it seems sturdy and looks great! However, once you actually sleep on it and sit and play video games or move on it it creaks like crazy and thats when you notice how cheap it is. My teen daughter kept having restless sleep by constantly being awakened by every movement on bed causing that creaking noise (she is only 123 pounds). Luckily I had a 2 inch foam gel bed topper so we took mattress off of frame and put topper on frame then put mattress back on to help with constant creaking. I do not recommend for plus size adults or couples.....it just wont work for you. I do recommend for kids and teens. My recommendation is not because the way the bed looks, but because the way the bed functions. I would compare this bed to particle board furniture.... cheap, lightweight and serves its purpose but not for the long haul.Recently bought a new bed and didn’t realize that it didn’t need a box spring like my old style mattress required.... so instead of having a useless box spring under my mattress I decided to toss the box spring with my old mattress and get a frame for my new bed!!Starting looking about a month ago and finally found this one that fit my style and budget. Budget was important for me but also quality!Arrived and the quality is nice. None of the pieces were damaged in shipping as the company package it securely. Assembly was oh ... about 25 min for both my husband and I working as a team.It sits well on the floor and nicely against the wall, it doesn’t wobble or rock. Made good with strong durable metal, it has slates across from left to right that holds up my mattress evenly! My mattress I recently bought fits well on it and doesn’t hang off, nor do I feel the metal slates of the frame which at first I thought would be a concern but it’s not! Oh and bed doesn’t squeak!!!!!!! Woohoo!! I hate squeaky bed frames!The height is almost equivalent to my old mattress And box thing together... The best part I like about having a frame is I can now store plastic under the bed storage containers and open up space in my closet!! The bed is high enough to fit standard under the bed bins from Walmart!This frame has added a new look to my room and helped me better organize my closet!! I am very happy I went with it rather than re use my old box spring! Very satisfied husband and wife!!
