The bed is exactly what I expected to get. It is just like the picture. Two main things i did not expect was how high the mattress comes up and the drawers. in the picture you see how the sides come up around 2 inches and the back board has a couple in height compared to the mattress. however for me the sides are below the mattress and the back come up about 2 inches. the wood pieces that come with this to support the mattress are too thin and might break so we did have to add another board to support it so that might be the reason for the height. the drawers are also not connected to the bed. they have wheels and can be easily pushed around.personally i don’t mind these problems but i wanted to write this review i case anyone does care about these problems. other than that i love the look and feel of the bed and it is sturdy. Definitely worth the price that is listed. there is a reason it is not $600+Bought this for my 3rd grader for her big kid bed. The daybed vibe goes great with her room. The drawers under the bed were tricky to put together. The order of the steps in the assembly instructions leave open the possibility of the plywood splitting during assembly. If you reengineer the steps in a slightly different order, the drawers end up way more solid. Instructions not clear but it's not to difficult to figure out.P.S. Update. Side bar holding bed frame broke within the week. Threw it away and bought different bed. Don't waist money.The drawers under the bed do not fit they sit way too low and you can see inside of them and I do not like seeing what’s in the drawers instead of just the drawers
