This seems like great quality. I’m not sure if it is waterproof but the protectiveness seems great. It is quiet to sleep on too.I purchased this because my 15 year old cat has bladder issues. I had another waterproof mattress protector and I would wake up sweating, not with this one! I LOVE IT!Works well except after purchasing two twin size (for completely different beds with different mattresses), they do slip around. Meaning, they are not tight fitting to the mattress. I have one on a queen bed as well. Don’t want any spilled drinks to get to my mattress. Otherwise good protector for a good price.This is very cheap looking/feeling, opened the package & immediately knew I would not be using it! First thought was "wow, disappointing". I am returning for refund and buying something of better quality/material. The waterproof backing felt & sounded like those old vinyl ones from years ago, so I doubted the "noiseless" claim. I wanted something I can use full time for my young granddaughter, this is not it!My 5 yr old still occasionally has accidents overnight,mostly if she's so tired she's sleeping super heavy and/or I didn't pay close enough attention and let her drink too much within 1-2hrs of bedtime. I am now a very firm believer that ALL mattresses should have a waterproof, hypoallergenic cover to greatly extend the life of a mattress! Even us adults sometimes spill, get sick, or excessively sweat at times and all of this of course sinks into and potentially ruins or wears down a mattress way sooner than it should. I'm so glad protectors like this that really seem not much different than a regular mattress pad and yet do so very much more! I WISH it hadn't taken potty training my one and only child a few yrs ago to first buy waterproof mattress covers for one to realize the days of some plastic crinkly sweat inducing monstrosity are way over and technology jas come so far with the materials available now to comfortably protect your mattresses! None of the mattresses in my home will ever be without one, in fact always have at least 2 per mattress so if one needs to ne washed, there's always one clean! My only wish is that it had some level of padding? You can find them, but they're more difficult to and/or quite a bit higher price point and this single Mom can't always afford higher tier. However, that is my one very minor negative, I still highly recommend!Not padded and still to get too hot. Does not cool at all.Does its job protecting the mattress. This sheet itself does get wet on the top (bottom sode stays dry). So when my kid had a small accident I had to remove the regular sheet and this sheet and wash both. Kind of a pain but the mattress was 100% dry so it did its job.This isn’t for people looking for any kind of quilting/padding, or anything of that nature. It’s very thin and very comfortable. I got it just as a simple mattress protector, and on that level it is perfect, and at a great price.
