I was looking around for a new bed and really liked this look with the headboard so after comparing several similar beds I ordered this one. It came in a big box with all the parts inside just be careful because it is a little heavy. Assembling the bed was not hard at all, each part is labeled with a letter so all you need to do is split them up in separate piles to make it easier to grab as you build. It came with a screwdriver tool but instead, I used my own which if you don't have any tools this will help not having to buy one. The process is pretty simple, you build the headboard and side rails along with the footboard first to make the box along with the middle rail in the first step. All these pieces are screwed into each other just be sure not to overtighten. Once you have this part done then you will move to the next step which is putting in the slats which are 24 pieces 12 on each side. The slats go into a small plastic piece that snaps into the middle rail and one plastic piece that snaps into the side rail. When putting in the slats to the rail holes just push down until you hear the snap and your good to go. Make sure the slats are in the correct position as the bowed side goes up and these should be pretty easy to attach and you will be done. it will take about an hour/hour and a half to put together as long as you separate the pieces and follow the instructions you should have no problems. So I assembled the bed and it looked great but about a week later I sat down on the edge of the bed and heard a snap. I lifted up the mattress and saw that one of the slats had broken almost in half which pissed me off. I weigh 175 and I didn't jump on the bed so obviously, that is going to be a problem if it can't hold my weight. There is a number you can call and order another slat from them but I decided to do something else instead as I figured the slats are all going to break eventually and I'm not going to keep ordering slats every time one snaps. So I looked on amazon and found a company called 'ZINUS" that sells a 1.5 inch metal bed frame which I ordered and got the next day. PROBLEM SOLVED !!! The frame was easy to assemble and it sits right around the edge so no need to remove the slats or anything else it fits perfectly. Since it's made of steel it gave it the strength to hold my weight and whoever else you have on the bed without anything breaking. I added pics so you can see how it was assembled, the slat that broke and the metal frame that I added to make it sturdier. This is the link to the ZINUS frame if you want to check it out or if your thinking of buying this bed I highly recommend that you get this along with it and avoid the headache. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B072HTRVM1/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1So all in all, delivery was great, looks great, price is great but it's just not sturdy enough by itself so add the ZINUS frame and you will be set. I have had this bed for a year now and had no problems after I added the frame. They should address the flimsy slats with either some stronger wood or a metal frame
